Frequently Asked Questions
Answers

How do I keep my purchases fresh?

We recommend eating the bagels fresh and toasted.  For all of the bagels that don't get eaten immediately, we recommend cutting them in half, placing them in a plastic bag and putting them in the freezer, if you want to keep them for more than a few days.

Do you have any Kosher cerification?

We don't have any Kosher certifications, but we do keep a kosher kitchen. We do not keep Shabbath, but we don't do anything regarding Abba's Bagels during Shabbath. All of the equipment used in making the bagels are used for only making bagels.

Do you make any vegan items?

All of the items we offer are vegan.

What makes Abba's Bagels so special?

All of our bagels are individually hand-rolled to maximizes the aeration of dough and give it that signature bagel twist.
There is no sugar in the recipe. The only "sugar" that is added is in the boiling process, as we add silan (date paste) to the water to add color and some sweetness to the shell of the bagel. The silan is what makes it a uniquely Israeli version of a classic Americanized Polish delicacy.
